Position Specifications
- Experience:
3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the finance domain
- Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MBA, or equivalent professional certification
- Skill Set:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros)
- Strong SQL knowledge for data extraction and analysis
- Experience with BI \& visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Business Analyst
to join the Finance team. The role involves bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making and driving process improvements across financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Requirements Gathering \& Documentation
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders (Regulatory Reporting, MI/CMA, Treasury, Tax) to gather and understand business requirements
- Document functional and non-functional requirements using industry-standard formats
- Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications
- Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
2\. Process Analysis \& Optimization
- Map current (as-is) business processes using BPMN diagrams or flowcharts
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and process gaps
- Design future (to-be) processes with measurable improvements
- Conduct gap analysis between current and target states
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs
3\. Data Management \& Governance
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation rules
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata documentation
- Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis for discrepancies
4\. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams and business units on projects
- Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions
- Present insights, findings, and recommendations to finance leadership
- Train end-users on new systems, processes, and reporting tools
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance
5\. Project Management
- Lead or contribute to finance transformation initiatives
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Track milestones, deliverables, and budgets
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Report project progress to steering committees
