Position Overview:

Our Cybersecurity Institute is designed to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in Information Technology (IT) careers, from entry-level roles to advanced positions such as Help Desk Support, IT Support Specialist, Network Technician, Information Security Analyst, Network Administrator, and beyond.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal Candidate will act as a Career Counselor \& Coach to support adult learners in navigating their IT career paths. The ideal candidate will assist students in identifying their strengths, exploring career opportunities, and developing strategic plans to achieve their goals. This role includes job search support, career coaching, and professional development guidance to ensure students transition successfully into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Career Coaching \& Job Readiness:

  • Develop personalized job search strategies to align with individual career goals.
  • Assist students in creating professional resumes and cover letters tailored to the IT industry.
  • Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback to improve interview performance.
  • Guide students on networking strategies, including LinkedIn profile optimization and professional branding.

Career Counseling \& Student Guidance

  • Provide one-on-one and group career counseling to help students make informed career decisions.
  • Offer support in career pathing, course selection, and enrollment, ensuring students choose the right training for their goals.
  • Advise on continuing education and certification programs to enhance employability.
  • Assess clients' skills, interests, values, and personality traits to determine suitable career paths.
  • Stay informed on U.S. career development theories, industry trends, and job market insights.

Workshops \& Professional Development

  • Develop and deliver career workshops and presentations on topics such as job search strategies, resume writing, and professional networking.
  • Organize and manage career-focused events, including employer networking sessions and industry guest speakers.
  • Facilitate career readiness training covering workplace professionalism, remote work best practices, and corporate culture adaptation.

Administrative \& Program Support

  • Maintain accurate client records, tracking progress and job placement outcomes.
  • Manage meeting schedules and ensure proper documentation of career counseling sessions.
  • Collaborate with international student recruiters to support global career development initiatives.
  • Utilize task management tools to streamline workflow and enhance remote collaboration.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Resources, Career Development, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in career counseling, workforce development, or educational advising.
  • Certification in Career Counseling (preferred) or relevant professional credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of career planning, job search techniques, and employment trends.
  • Exceptional presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse adult learners and professionals.
  • IT knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to work a shift that includes United States working hours of (9am- 6pm) and at least 2 days of 10am – 2am) a week.
  • Must report to and work from a BPO.
