About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Epic Willow Ambulatory Analyst to join our Healthcare IT team. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead for outpatient, retail, and specialty pharmacy workflows within the Epic EHR platform.
The successful candidate will bring 4\+ years of healthcare IT experience and will be responsible for the day-to-day support, configuration, and optimization of the Epic Willow Ambulatory module.
The Analyst works in close collaboration with Accenture team members, the Epic software vendor, offshore support teams, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality application support and enhancements in a dynamic healthcare environment.
This remote opportunity is open to individuals located in the United States.
Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office. The project hours of operations will be Monday – Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Epic Willow Ambulatory workflows, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Manage and prioritize daily application support activities, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within defined SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve application issues related to eRx, refills, prior authorizations, POS workflows, and device integrations
Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to translate pharmacy needs into effective Epic solutions

Deliverables or Project Scope
- Configure, build, and optimize Epic Willow Ambulatory modules to support outpatient and specialty pharmacy operations
- Support system design, testing, go‑live readiness, and post‑implementation stabilization activities
- Maintain accurate system documentation, build specifications, workflows, and testing artifacts
- Support multi‑site implementations, workflow scaling, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance initiatives
Collaboration Tools or Platforms
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Epic EHR platform with a focus on Willow Ambulatory and integrated pharmacy applications
- Interfaces and third‑party integrations including Surescripts and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems
- Collaboration with offshore support teams using standard ITSM and communication tools
- Engagement with clinical and operational stakeholders including pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and pharmacy operations teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Pharmacy, or a related field OR equivalent relevant work experience
- Active and current Epic Willow Ambulatory certification required; certification must be maintained throughout the engagement
- Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting Epic applications in a healthcare IT environment
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory configuration, build, and support
- Experience supporting ambulatory pharmacy workflows, including medication ordering, dispensing, inventory, and POS processes
- Proven experience managing day‑to‑day EHR application support, including incident resolution and SLA adherence
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical stakeholders, including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Epic certifications such as Willow Inpatient, Home Infusion, Bugsy, or related Epic modules
- Experience working with Surescripts interfaces, error queues, and electronic prescribing workflows
- Familiarity with 340B billing, pharmacy benefits administration, and pharmacy revenue cycle processes
- Prior experience working with offshore or distributed support teams
- Background in healthcare IT consulting or large, complex health system environments
- Experience developing system documentation, testing artifacts, and end‑user training materials

Compensation Disclosure
Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer BCforward, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.
