Overview

Twin City Heating, Air and Electric is hiring a Residential Service \& Install Electrician to join our electrical team.

This position is a strong fit for a Minnesota Journeyman Electrician who enjoys residential work, takes pride in quality installations, and can communicate professionally with homeowners. We are looking for someone who can run service calls, complete residential electrical installations, troubleshoot electrical issues, and help customers understand their options clearly.

We are open to experienced journeymen, newer journeymen, and strong candidates who are close to getting licensed. The right fit matters more than a perfect resume. We are not looking for someone who cuts corners or pressures customers. We are looking for someone who wants to grow, solve problems, do quality work, and represent the company well in customers’ homes.

Pay:

$35–$50 per hour, based on experience, license status, service ability, and installation skill.

Pay will be based on your current license status, residential service experience, installation ability, communication skills, and overall fit for the role.

What You’ll Do:

• Run residential electrical service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in customers’ homes
• Perform electrical repairs and upgrades
• Complete residential electrical installation work
• Assist with and lead electrical portions of HVAC installations
• Install panels, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, EV chargers, surge protection, smoke detectors, and other residential electrical upgrades
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings and available options
• Help customers make informed decisions without pressure
• Take photos, write clear job notes, and complete paperwork properly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Represent Twin City professionally in customers’ homes

What We’re Looking For:

The right person for this role is someone who is professional, coachable, and takes pride in doing quality work.

• Minnesota Journeyman Electrician license preferred
• Candidates close to testing or getting licensed may also be considered
• Residential electrical service and installation experience
• Strong troubleshooting and installation skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners
• Organized with job notes, photos, materials, and follow-through
• Reliable, honest, and team-focused
• Willing to keep learning and improving
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional overtime as needed
• Residential service and installation work throughout the Twin Cities metro
