Role Overview
As part of the product engineering team, this Frontend Engineer will work closely with defense and design teams to create mission-critical products with an exceptional user experience. The role involves building systems that reflect the real-world intricacies of air operations and delivering new user-facing features across React, Redux, Mapbox, and TypeScript, including work spanning database models and APIs.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship mission-critical frontend features for defense-focused operational products.
- Develop complex, map-based web applications using technologies such as React, Redux, Mapbox, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product, defense, design, and engineering stakeholders to translate real-world air operations workflows into intuitive software experiences.
- Contribute across the application stack, including user-facing interfaces, APIs, and data models.
Who You Are
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and CSS, with the ability to write fast, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Experienced building complex, map-based web applications with Mapbox, Maplibre, or Google Maps, especially real-time rendering of multiple interactive features and overlays.
- Familiar with WebGL, WebGPU, or ThreeJS for accelerated graphics rendering, and WebAssembly (WASM) for improving application performance.
- Action-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about delivering excellent user experiences.
- Proficient in leveraging modern LLM tools to accelerate development workflows and improve code quality.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future; employment may also be contingent on the ability to obtain required authorizations related to export-controlled technology and restricted U.S. Government data.
Compensation
- Salary: $135,000 - $260,000 per year
