Job Overview

As the HR Generalist, you are the operational engine of our people function. You own the day-to-day execution of core HR processes, ensuring that payroll runs flawlessly, our HRIS remains immaculate, and our quarterly performance cycles execute on time. Operating in a lean environment, you will bridge the gap between daily field operations and high-level strategy, serving as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and regional compliance.

You will work in lock-step with our Senior HR Consultant, who handles advanced legal strategy, allowing you to focus on flawless execution and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll \& Benefits Administration

  • Precise Execution: Manage and execute the end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing with strict attention to detail and zero margin for error.
  • Benefits Management: Serve as the administrator for employee benefits programs, handling enrollments, terminations, monthly billing reconciliation, and open enrollment logistics.
  • Time \& Attendance: Monitor and audit timekeeping records for both corporate and field staff, ensuring compliance with labor standards and accurate overtime tracking.

Performance Management \& Cycle Ownership

  • Cycle Management: Own the operational schedule and administrative rhythm of our quarterly performance evaluation cycles.
  • System Stewardship: Serve as the "Product Owner" and administrator for our performance tracking platforms. Ensure 100% review completion rates, track goal progress, and maintain clean, actionable performance data.
  • Support \& Training: Act as the first line of support for managers and employees navigating the performance management system, providing technical guidance and reinforcing evaluation standards.

Core HR Operations \& Digital Competency

  • HRIS Management: Maintain and optimize our HRIS database, ensuring all employee files, status changes, and organizational structures are accurately recorded and compliant.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and streamline internal HR workflows (e.g., leave requests, offboarding, status changes) to reduce administrative friction for field and corporate teams.
  • First-Level Support: Serve as the primary contact for daily employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and basic benefits or payroll questions.
  • Policy Education: Educate staff and field teams on baseline internal company policies (such as Per Diem guidelines and labor standards).

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Post roles, review resumes against defined criteria, and conduct structured first-round screening interviews to identify qualified candidates.
  • Schedule and manage hiring manager and team interviews, ensuring a consistent and organized evaluation process.
  • Collect interview feedback, align on final candidate selection, and manage offer issuance, background checks, and pre-employment documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, including documentation, system setup, and orientation to ensure a smooth Day 1 transition.

Training \& Development (Preferred Plus)

  • Program Facilitation: Highly Preferred: Ability to facilitate baseline soft skills and routine compliance training across corporate and field teams.
  • Program Sourcing: Highly Preferred: Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and implementing external leadership and management development programs to build internal talent pipelines.

The right candidate must bring a grounded, execution-focused mindset to a lean team:

  • Grit: A persistent, high-output approach to challenges and repetitive administrative cycles in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frugality: A value-conscious mindset that constantly looks to eliminate redundant administrative steps and streamline software usage.
  • Humility: A grounded approach to collaboration. Ready to learn, handle fundamental administrative tasks without ego, and take direction from senior external advisors.
