You've never been a curriculum delivery system.

It's facilitating life skills workshops that capture the attention of K-8 students, conducting motivation sessions that drive weekly learning goal achievement, and maintaining high standards when students want to take shortcuts. What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops with K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange
• Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have truly acquired the skill, not merely attended the session
• Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to achieve 100% cohort completion of weekly app advancement goals
• Utilizing storytelling, incentive systems (school currency, leaderboards), and individual connection to overcome student resistance
• Monitoring cohort satisfaction ratings to maintain a 90%\+ benchmark on student surveys

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Delivering traditional lectures at a whiteboard. Students progress academically through self-paced applications, not through direct instruction from you.
• Providing passive supervision. The environment involves students using computers; the role demands active engagement.
• Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass expectations remain consistent, even when a student faces challenges during a difficult week.
• Creating curriculum from the ground up — workshop guides and lesson plans are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the presence and narrative skill that ensures genuine student comprehension.
• Handling parent communications, coordinating admissions, or supervising campus logistics. Those functions belong to different positions.

Youth Counselor Key Responsibilities

Guide a cohort of K-8 students to achieve 100% weekly academic goal completion while facilitating life skills workshops that maintain 90%\+ satisfaction scores.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
• Strong storytelling and facilitation skills — capable of maintaining the engagement of a room full of children for an hour
• Able to work on-site at the Alpha campus located in Brownsville, TX
• Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
• Demonstrated history of high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
• Familiarity with self-directed or app-based educational environments

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
