Position Overview: Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to

assemble structural forms, such as building members, columns, joists,

frames, stairs, railings, and other parts using knowledge of welding

techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

Job Duties \& Responsibilities:

• Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to

assembly using measuring tools such as measuring tape, rulers, and

calipers.

• Responsible for using Flux Core welding techniques to weld various

components.

• Operate cutting torch, plasma, power tools and hand tools.
• Weld structural and architectural components.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and instructions
• Build jigs.
• Required to use the hoist to position materials as well as some

knowledge of rigging.

• Responsible for examine work for defects conformance with

specifications.

• Maintain an inventory of minimum required tools. (see tools list)
• Maintain a clean welding environment.
• Follow and abide by company safety policies.
• Assist in overall production including paint prep, loading \&

unloading material, pulling needed material and any other duties as

assigned.
