Understanding OPT, STEM OPT, and CPT
Optional Practical Training (OPT) allows F-1 students to work in the US for 12 months after graduation. STEM degree holders can extend their OPT for an additional 24 months.
Program Types
- OPT: 12-month post-completion work authorization for all F-1 students
