Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2025

grad.jobs is built by grads for grads. We keep your job search data focused on what matters: helping you ship your best career story — not fueling ads or hidden tracking.

Overview

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is designed to be clear and practical for busy job seekers.

What we collect

  • Account info (email, name) to sign you in and personalize your experience.
  • Personal information you add (e.g., phone, links) to pre-fill job applications and documents.
  • Adaptive Q&A you save so you can re-use strong answers across applications.
  • Job page data (title, company, description) to capture roles and tailor your resumes and cover letters.

What we do not collect

  • No credit card numbers or financial data.
  • No analytics by default. We don't ship tracking scripts by default; if we ever add optional analytics, we'll be transparent and give you clear controls.

How we use data

  • Autofill job applications on supported ATS sites when you explicitly trigger autofill in the extension or app.
  • Attach resumes and cover letters that you choose when submitting applications.
  • Generate tailored documents (resumes, cover letters, and Q&A drafts) when you ask us to run AI tooling on specific roles.
  • Improve product quality, such as debugging issues and preventing abuse, while using the minimum data necessary.

Sharing

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for their own marketing. We only share data with service providers (such as hosting, storage, and email) when needed to operate grad.jobs, and only under contracts that require them to keep your data secure and confidential.

Security

  • All traffic between you and grad.jobs is encrypted over HTTPS.
  • Authentication uses token-based mechanisms (such as JWTs); you should keep your account credentials and devices secure.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel with role-based access controls and audit logging where appropriate.

Your choices & rights

  • Update or delete your information directly in your account wherever possible.
  • Remove the Chrome extension at any time; the core web app continues to work without it.
  • Contact us at [email protected] for privacy questions or data requests.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as we ship new features or refine our data practices. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the product.
