Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role based in Greenville, SC. The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care in outpatient clinics and affiliated facilities, including conducting histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with nephrologists and care teams, adjusting medications and dialysis-related regimens, providing patient and family education on kidney health and treatment options, and documenting care in the electronic medical record. The role also involves coordinating with hospital and dialysis partner sites, participating in follow-up care, and supporting quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license (or eligibility) in South Carolina and current NCCPA certification.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management, preferably in nephrology, internal medicine, or a related specialty.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with physicians, nurses, dialysis teams, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to deliver clear, compassionate patient education and support shared decision-making for treatment plans.
• Comfort with electronic health records, documentation standards, and coordination of care across multiple sites.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment and manage a diverse patient panel.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; experience in kidney care or complex chronic disease management is highly desirable.
