Job Description
The role is for a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) at a specialized school serving students aged 5-22 with severe behavioral and developmental needs.
- Provide assessments, diagnoses, and therapy for speech, language, social communication, and feeding disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including direct therapy and feeding support.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote communication success and train staff on strategies and AAC systems.
- Support behavior intervention and crisis management by integrating communication strategies.
- Maintain documentation, ensure compliance, and participate in team meetings.
Qualifications include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CA licensure, and experience with severe disabilities. Preferred skills include ABA knowledge and familiarity with AAC devices.
