TikTok Shop - Operations Project Manager, Sorting Center

Responsibilities

Team Overview

TikTok Shop Sorting Center is dedicated to maximizing sorting efficiency and standardizing operations across our national distribution centers. By leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous quality monitoring, we ensure every parcel moves faster and reaches our customers sooner.

This role will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of TikTok Shop’s Sorting Center in the U.S., from initial planning through go-live. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, automation, IT, operations, and local authorities to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a detailed project timeline for the fulfillment center build-out. Closely track key milestones (e.g., site handover, equipment installation, system integration) to ensure timely delivery.

• Partner with automation/equipment teams, procurement \& labor teams, and on-site operations to drive alignment, resolve resource conflicts, and ensure seamless execution.

• Proactively identify potential risks across construction and system integration (e.g., permitting delays, supply chain constraints), and drive mitigation plans and decision-making.

• Capture best practices and translate project experience into scalable SOPs/playbooks to support future warehouse launches.

• Lead end-to-end readiness and acceptance, ensuring all hardware and software systems meet operational requirements prior to launch.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 5\+ years of project management (PMO) experience in logistics/warehousing, automated fulfillment centers, or manufacturing environments

• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with warehouse construction processes, low-voltage systems, and automation equipment (e.g., cross-belt, tilt-tray systems)

• Strong ownership, resilience, and willingness to work on-site during critical project phases

• Excellent cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building warehouses or fulfillment centers from 0 to 1
