Description

TeleSolv Consulting has a great opportunity for you to work with the Federal Government as a

Senior Communications Specialist. This position is an on-site position in Washington, DC/Ashburn, VA.

The Senior Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting the tasks below:

  • Assist in developing, updating, and publishing program/organizational materials, design and distribute them for internal and external audiences
  • Assists in maintaining a vibrant and active social media presence on selected platforms to create a substantial online presence
  • Assists in maintaining the program and organizational websites so they remain compelling and current
  • Assists in developing communications plans and manages internal program/organizational communications
  • Supports media relations efforts including development and distribution of story ideas, press releases and media interviews
  • Assists in responding appropriately to media inquiries which may include developing key talking points for the leadership team
  • Supports writing/tracking/reporting for grants

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in mass-communications, business, or related field
  • At least eight (8) years specialized experience; or ten (10) years general experience
  • General experience is experience gained in an office setting
  • Specialized experience must include, at least, three (3) years in communication and analysis experience and two (2) years of specialized experience in supporting the messaging of complex business functions or programs and providing challenging and professional deliverables, products, and services on multiple social media, and communications platforms

Background Investigation:

This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
