Senior Accountant

Pinnacle has been engaged to help a growing organization hire a Senior Accountant due to a retirement at their Beachwood location.

This is a great position to be a key member of the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across all funds and accounts
• Track and report on restricted and unrestricted funding, ensuring proper use and documentation
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including monitoring spend against program and organizational budgets
• Analyze financial results and explain variances to leadership and program managers
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and donor or grant requirements
• Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Monitor cash activity and support cash flow planning

Who you are:

• Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Public accounting foundation is a plus, but not required
• Experience with NetSuite is a big plus

Compensation:

• 75K-90K base (depending on employee experience)
