EpochGeo is looking for a junior to mid-level Software Developer to support one of the most innovative, exciting, and growing offices that is rooted in geospatial analytics in the national security space.

Location-based big data can be overwhelming, inaccessible, and noisy. EpochGeo is a data services firm specializing in supporting the full spectrum data cycle: beginning with scalable data storage, building algorithms or workflows, and ending with impactful analytics. Our developers, analysts, and data scientists have a proven track record applying open-source innovative technology, data science, and actionable analytics to inform customers’ data driven decisions.

Your background likely includes:

• 1 - 5 years of software development (Python)
• Education or military experience in Computer Science, Geography, or similar.
• Experience with large volume data or automated analytics.
• Experience with open-source software, to include PySpark and Trino.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with senior software developers to expand and improve tools for processing data using AWS
• Build APIs to feed algorithms, and front-end UIs
• Help manage large daily and streaming data flows
• Create automated workflows or algorithms and machine learning models from big data to discover insights
• Innovating within the data storage, scalable processing and automated analytics areas

Bonus:

• Experience using AWS/C2S
• Experience with Hive, Spark, Trino or similar
• Exposure to data science fundamentals

Additional:

Must hold a DoD TS clearance and be willing to submit for a CI Poly

Pay: $100,000\.00 - $140,000\.00 per year
