IT Communications Manager (Infosecurity)

Role Overview

The IT Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that effectively convey IT and Information Security initiatives, programs, and changes across the organization. This role bridges technical teams and business stakeholders by translating complex IT and InfoSec concepts into clear, engaging, and actionable messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The position plays a critical role in driving awareness, adoption, and alignment for IT and InfoSec programs—including infrastructure changes, security initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and enterprise tools.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with IT and business objectives
• Partner with IT leadership to shape messaging for major programs and projects (e.g., security rollouts, system migrations, M\&A onboarding)
• Ensure consistency of messaging, tone, and branding across all IT communications channels

Internal Communications \& Change Enablement

• Lead communication plans for IT-driven changes, including system implementations and policy updates
• Design and deliver change management communications to minimize disruption and drive adoption
• Create and manage communications across multiple channels (email, intranet, town halls, Teams, newsletters)

Content Development

• Produce executive-ready communications such as announcements, FAQs, leadership updates, and user guides
• Translate complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly content for diverse audiences
• Develop training and awareness materials for end users and stakeholders across medium types (email, webpage, videos, How tos, FAQs)

Program Support \& Adoption

• Drive awareness and adoption for IT initiatives (e.g., MFA rollout, passwordless authentication, cloud policies)
• Coordinate communication plans for global rollouts and large-scale deployments
• Organize campaigns, virtual events, and training programs related to IT initiatives

Measurement \& Optimization

• Track effectiveness of communication campaigns using engagement metrics and feedback
• Continuously improve communication strategies based on analytics and stakeholder input
• Monitor employee sentiment and adjust messaging to improve clarity and impact

Qualifications

Education \& Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
• 7\+ years of experience in communications, preferably within IT or technology environments
• Experience supporting enterprise IT initiatives or digital transformation programs

Key Skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with IT domains such as cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise applications
• Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Experience with change management and organizational communications
• Experience supporting large-scale rollouts (e.g., M\&A integration, security programs, platform migrations)
• Proficiency with enterprise communication tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, intranet platforms)
• Data-driven mindset with experience measuring communication effectiveness
