Role: Senior Reliability Engineer
Location: Chigaco, IL \| Hybrid Working \| $101,700 - $113,000 \+ Bonus \+ Excellent Benefits

Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you'll have the opportunity to influence product development from concept through production, ensuring reliability is engineered into every stage of the product lifecycle while helping drive continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Reliability Engineer, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to improve product performance, reduce failure rates and ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
You'll also play an important role in supporting laboratory certification initiatives, developing engineering best practices and helping shape the future of reliability engineering across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and establish reliability requirements for new product developments.
- Develop and implement reliability strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
- Design and execute accelerated life testing to reduce product validation times.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities for new and existing products.
- Perform statistical analysis and interpret reliability test data.
- Investigate product failures using structured root cause analysis techniques.
- Identify corrective actions and work with engineering teams to improve product performance.
- Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams to prevent recurring failures.
- Support ISO and laboratory certification activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reliability engineering processes.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5\+ years' experience in Reliability Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and accelerated life testing.
- Experience conducting FMEA, root cause analysis and reliability testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with engineering software and data analysis tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification.
- Experience supporting ISO certification programmes.
- Knowledge of electromechanical or fluid-based products.
- Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
