Job Description
About The Role
The role owns organic and paid search performance for a fast-growing technology company, driving qualified traffic and pipeline through SEO, SEM, and technical optimization. This is a hands-on specialist position where search data directly shapes content strategy, site architecture, and spend allocation.
The specialist will work closely with content, product marketing, and web engineering teams to improve rankings, lower acquisition costs, and prove search's contribution to revenue. Success is measured in rankings, CTR, conversion rate, CPA, and organic pipeline impact — not vanity metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the SEO roadmap: keyword research, on-page optimization, technical audits (crawlers, site speed, schema markup, Core Web Vitals), and internal linking strategy
- Build and manage paid search campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including budget pacing, bid strategy, and negative keyword management
- Run A/B tests on landing pages and ad copy to improve Quality Score, conversion rate, and CPA
- Track and report performance using GA4, Search Console, Looker Studio, and SEMrush/Ahrefs; translate rankings and spend data into pipeline insight
- Partner with content and web teams on content briefs, topic clusters, and site changes that improve organic visibility
- Monitor algorithm updates and competitor positioning; adjust strategy and brief stakeholders on impact
- Manage local listings, metadata, and structured data across the site and product pages
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of hands-on SEO and SEM experience, ideally in B2B or B2C tech
- Deep proficiency with Google Ads, Search Console, GA4, and at least one major SEO platform (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz)
- Working knowledge of technical SEO: crawlability, site architecture, schema markup, and page-speed optimization
- Demonstrated track record of growing organic traffic and improving paid search efficiency at meaningful scale
- Comfortable with data analysis and reporting — SQL or advanced spreadsheet skills a plus
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Bonus: Experience with Google Ads scripts, HTML/CSS basics, programmatic SEO, or Ahrefs/Semrush API integrations
