Senior Firmware Engineer

We’re working with a well-funded, engineering-led defense technology startup developing next-generation autonomous systems designed to operate in highly challenging, real-world environments.

The Role

We’re looking for a Firmware Engineer to play a key role in developing high-performance embedded systems for advanced electromechanical platforms. You’ll be working on real-time control software and tightly integrated hardware systems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop real-time embedded software in C\+\+ for performance-critical applications
• Design and implement firmware for microcontroller-based systems
• Interpret datasheets and contribute to schematic design across digital and analog circuits
• Collaborate on system architecture across hardware and software boundaries
• Test, debug, and validate embedded systems in both lab and real-world environments
• Optimize performance, latency, and power consumption on constrained hardware
• Document designs, architectures, and test procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 3\+ years of experience in embedded firmware and electrical design
• Strong C\+\+ experience in real-time or safety-critical systems
• Background in microcontroller-based systems and embedded circuit design
• Experience with hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
