Engagement Overview
The Senior Quantitative Analyst contractor will support business decision-making by delivering data-driven insights, scalable reporting, and analytical solutions. This role blends data engineering, business intelligence, and advanced analytics to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into analytical frameworks, data requirements, and reporting solutions
- Integrate data from APIs, databases, and other sources to develop scalable PowerBI dashboards and reporting tools
- Design, build, and maintain recurring reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal and external stakeholders
- Automate manual Excel-based processes and improve data workflows for efficiency and accuracy
- Analyze data trends and patterns to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for optimization
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to business leaders and executive stakeholders
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance) to define data and API requirements
- Document data sources, transformations, and logic in clear, business-friendly language
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover drivers of key business outcomes
- Build executive-level dashboards and presentations that tell a clear data story
- Ensure data integrity through validation, QA, and reconciliation via multiple data sources
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting scalability and reduce manual effort
- Support ad hoc analysis, deep dives, and hypothesis testing to inform strategic decisions
- Establish and promote best practices in analytics, reporting, and data visualization
Required Experience \& Qualifications:
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience developing PowerBI dashboards and data visualization solutions
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and working with structured/unstructured data sources
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, advanced formulas, automation)
- Experience synthesizing data into clear insights and storytelling (e.g., PowerPoint, executive readouts)
- Ability to communicate complex analyses to non-technical and executive audiences
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with APIs (RESTful services, JSON) and integrating external data sources
- Familiarity with data modeling, KPI development, and performance measurement frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud data environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
- Experience using and optimizing ETL processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
