HOA Accounting Manager

Location: Fort Lauderdale (Onsite)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HOA Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for our homeowners’ associations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting organizational objectives through strong financial leadership. The HOA Accounting Manager will manage a team of accounting professionals, establish and enforce internal controls, and provide financial insights that support sound decision-making and long-term success.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals handling financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting.
  • Recruit, train, and develop top accounting talent while fostering a culture of service and accountability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely HOA financial reporting while upholding compliance with GAAP and HOA-specific standards.
  • Partner with property General Managers to review and distribute monthly financials.
  • Support forecasting and annual budget processes, providing leadership with actionable insights.
  • Coordinate audits, establish internal controls, and safeguard HOA assets.
  • Drive operational excellence while balancing short- and long-term financial goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5\+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3\+ in HOA, property management, real estate, or hospitality.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
  • Expertise: Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting practices, audits, forecasting, and month end closing.
  • Tech Skills: Proficiency in ERPs, plus advanced Excel.
  • Leadership: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven success in managing and developing teams.
  • Mindset: Detail-oriented, organized, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
