Professional Summary
An accomplished Senior Business Analyst is required to join the Utility Integration Business Applications team within a leading energy infrastructure firm. The successful candidate will focus on planning and executing integration activities for business systems and processes, specifically facilitating the migration of new utilities from legacy systems. This role acts as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical developers to ensure that business requirements are precisely analyzed, documented, and executed throughout the project lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
- Requirements Management:
Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business and functional requirements for system enhancements, integration projects, and utility migrations.
- Stakeholder Liaison:
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and ad hoc meetings with business sponsors and stakeholders, ensuring the business's objective is accurately represented during decision-making phases.
- Solution Design Collaboration:
Participate in technical design sessions to ensure proposed solutions align with documented business requirements, and secure formal solution approvals.
- Testing \& Quality Assurance:
Partner with enterprise functional and technical teams to develop comprehensive test plans, author detailed test cases, and execute both System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including regression testing for corporate systems.
- Implementation \& Change Support:
Assist with business readiness planning, impact analysis, and the creation of training materials; provide dedicated support during cut-over, go-live, and hypercare phases to guarantee a seamless transition.
- Value Verification:
Document anticipated business benefits, validate alignment with the Business Sponsor, and confirm post-implementation that change benefits have been fully realized.
- Financial \& Operational Processes:
Oversee and analyze business system processes related to payments, refunds, and operational workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Education \& Experience:
A related university degree combined with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in business or systems analysis, OR a minimum of seven (7) years of direct field and operations experience. An equivalent combination of formal education and professional experience will be considered.
- Technical Aptitude:
Proven knowledge of technology systems, solution architectures, implementation requirements, and delivery methodologies.
- Industry Knowledge:
Demonstrated understanding of Distribution Operations or Customer Care business models and operational needs.
- Leadership \& Autonomy:
Proven ability to work independently on complex technical issues, drive innovation, and manage organizational change in ambiguous situations.
- Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, consensus-building, and facilitation skills, with a track record of fostering strong stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Certification:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation or other formally recognized education in the field of business analysis.
- System Expertise:
Working knowledge of enterprise systems supporting Engineering and Operations, specifically Oracle platforms.
- Financial Acumen:
Prior professional experience handling accounting or financial workflows within a corporate environment.
