Job Description

Summary of Position:

The Logistics Manager will support our Power Generation business. This role operates with minimal supervision and significant autonomy to ensure the efficient execution of all logistics and activities throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing logistics processes and workflows, developing contracts, and overseeing all related activities to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications \& Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, maritime administration, operations management, or business management.
  • Experience managing logistics activities of large-scale power EPC projects and complex power generation equipment from start to finish.
  • Performed FEED (or similar) activities for large-scale EPC projects.
  • At least 10 years of experience in logistics activities for EPC projects, including the management of containers and breakbulk ocean freight, domestic transportation, heavy haul, customs clearance, and the commercial management of a logistics budget.
  • Experience in managing the transportation of large equipment sourced locally and internationally.
  • International and domestic travel may be required for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Managerial experience in POWER project logistics is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics plans, including shipping coordination plans and procedures tailored to specific projects.
  • Monitor goods during the different transportation stages.
  • Develop and provide an RFI/RFQ for Freight Forwarding and Export Packing activities.
  • Conduct Logistics status review meetings.
  • Participate in selecting approved logistics providers.
  • Manage personnel engaged in the coordination and execution of logistics services when designated as project lead.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to ensure customer expectations are being achieved.
  • Prepare, execute, and manage the project logistics budget.
  • Maintain relationships and communication with transportation providers.
  • Manage supporting personnel in the proper understanding and usage of discipline-specific systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety and collaboration among vendors, clients, and colleagues.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers/scanners, and smartphones.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Salary:

$100,000/YR - $150,000/YR

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
