Chief Technology & Hardware Officer

NextGen is searching for a dynamic and forward-thinking Chief Technology and Hardware Officer to lead the company’s technology and hardware innovation strategy. This role is pivotal in driving advancements across software and hardware domains, leveraging expertise in full-stack web development, software engineering, APIs, data engineering, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI/ML, computer vision, and game development, alongside hardware-focused engineering and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the company’s overarching technology and hardware strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and innovation goals.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge software and hardware systems, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
• Oversee the architecture and development of APIs, cloud-based solutions, and data pipelines to support scalable, efficient systems.
• Drive advancements in hardware engineering, focusing on areas such as IoT devices, edge computing, or custom hardware solutions to support AI/ML and computer vision applications.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, such as blockchain, game development engines, and machine learning frameworks, to position NextGen as a leader in the tech space.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and deliver solutions that address complex business challenges and enhance customer experiences.
• Build and manage partnerships with hardware and technology providers to ensure access to cutting-edge tools and resources.
• Develop and enforce technology standards, ensuring high-quality, secure, and efficient systems across all projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technologists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Represent the company in technology forums, conferences, and industry events to showcase NextGen’s hardware and software capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 10\+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a strong focus on both software and hardware development.
• Expertise in full-stack web development, software engineering, APIs, and cloud technologies, with a proven track record of delivering scalable systems.
• Experience with hardware engineering, IoT, edge computing, or related fields.
• Knowledge of advanced technologies, including blockchain, AI/ML, computer vision, and game development.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a history of managing diverse technical teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capability to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in hardware or emerging technologies are a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and business executives.
