What You'll Do

As

Director of Structural Engineering

, you'll provide both technical and people leadership by:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of structural engineers and drafters
• Serving as the technical resource for engineering questions and project guidance
• Designing structural solutions for residential and commercial projects
• Preparing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents
• Modifying and developing detailed AutoCAD drawings
• Conducting structural inspections and field evaluations
• Preparing forensic engineering reports and documentation
• Ensuring projects meet applicable building codes, engineering standards, and client expectations
• Managing multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedules, and client satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 6\+ years of structural engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both residential and commercial structural engineering
• Working knowledge of Revit (a plus, not required)
• Experience with timber framing, roof systems, and helical pier design
• Forensic engineering experience is a plus

Physical Requirements
