Job Description
The Role
You will be working within an innovative energy technology company that builds intelligent AI-driven solutions with the aim of improving energy efficiency, grid performance, and operational reliability. They are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy scalable ML solutions for real-world energy and infrastructure challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for energy-focused applications such as load forecasting, predictive maintenance, energy optimization, smart grid analytics, anomaly detection, and consumption forecasting
- Create scalable ML infrastructure and pipelines for training, evaluation, monitoring, and real-time model serving across energy and industrial platforms
- Design data preprocessing and feature engineering workflows for complex datasets including smart meter, IoT, sensor, geospatial, and time-series data
- Help build intelligent monitoring and optimization systems leveraging technologies such as connected infrastructure, edge computing, renewable energy systems, and live sensor networks
- Contribute to data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, optimize energy usage, reduce costs, and support the transition toward sustainable energy systems
What They’re Looking For
- 2–6\+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or similar AI-focused roles
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
- Track record of building, deploying, and maintaining ML systems in production
- Experience working with energy, utilities, industrial, IoT, mobility, or time-series datasets is considered a strong plus
- Understanding of data engineering practices including ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming systems, and large-scale data processing
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Interest in applying AI to energy systems, smart infrastructure, renewable technologies, or operational optimization challenges
