HH\&A has been retained to conduct a search for a Chief Information Officer on behalf of a growing, founder-led company with nearly 200 employees, serving customers across all 50 states and in more than 10 countries. The company operates as a leading wholesaler, eCommerce brand, and direct-to-consumer distributor of specialty products, and also owns, develops, and manufactures products under its own brands.

The Role

This is a high-impact executive opportunity for a senior technology leader who thrives at the intersection of technology strategy, business operations, and customer experience. The CIO will own the full breadth of the company's information and business systems, IT infrastructure, software applications, ERP platform, data architecture, and digital initiatives. Reporting to an owner, this individual will lead a team of nine, including four direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic design and long-term architecture of information systems, the ERP platform, and IT infrastructure
• Serve as a member of the senior executive team, ensuring technology investments align with and accelerate company growth
• Establish and own data architecture, system integrations, and business intelligence capabilities
• Oversee risk management, data security, and disaster recovery planning
• Build and manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts that balance cost, quality, and long-term fit
• Drive a culture of technology-enabled customer experience excellence across B2B and B2C channels

What We Are Looking For

• At least four years of senior technology leadership as a CIO, VP of IT, or equivalent
• Outstanding knowledge of modern technology stacks, including cloud, SaaS, enterprise platforms, and integration architectures
• Hands-on ERP experience with a track record of meaningful operational improvements
• Deep understanding of data flow and core business processes
• Strong financial acumen, including IT budgeting and planning
• Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in eCommerce or multi-channel B2B/B2C environments is highly valued
