An Electrical Engineer is required for a fully remote design engineering role focused on complex power generation systems for mission-critical infrastructure. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who wants technically challenging work without relocating, with long-term remote working confirmed as the model.

The Electrical Engineer will support non-standard engineering challenges across generation assets, power systems and island generation. The work is suited to someone with design engineering experience who enjoys solving problems that sit outside a traditional utility-style environment.

The Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer / Power Systems Engineer Role:

• Support the design of large-scale islanded power generation systems
• Work on complex generation assets, electrical infrastructure and power plant systems
• Contribute to engineering solutions for rapid load-change and mission-critical power requirements
• Review and develop design concepts for non-standard power generation applications
• Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Apply electrical design engineering judgement to review technically challenging project work
• Support problem-solving across combined cycle, simple cycle and related generation environments

Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer / Power Systems Engineer Requirements:

• Around 7\+ years’ electrical engineering experience
• Experience with power generation, electrical power systems or generation assets
• Combined cycle power generation or simple cycle power generation experience is highly desirable
• Islanded power systems experience is highly desirable
