Kirwan Surgical Products is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Buyer to join our Purchasing Team in Marshfield, MA. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting the procurement of materials and services essential to the manufacturing of our high-quality surgical instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate purchase orders for raw materials, components, supplies, outside processing, product treatment, and sterilization services.
• Coordinate shipments and logistics for products requiring outside processing.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with domestic and international suppliers, including coordination of import and customs support documentation.
• Utilize the ERP system to analyze inventory levels, purchasing requirements, and optimize buying strategies.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier quality, on-time delivery, and overall performance.
• Proactively communicate

with suppliers to resolve shortages, constraints, and supply chain challenges.

• Research, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with the Engineering team; support sourcing activities for new products, materials, components, and services.
• Prioritize multiple projects and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain purchasing documentation to support quality and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional process and product improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12\+ years of supply chain purchasing experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in medical devices or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Familiarity with inspection and measurement tools.
• Experience using ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Distribution teams.
• Experience with Sales \& Operations Planning (S\&OP) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated success managing supplier relationships, including supplier scorecards, performance metrics, and corrective actions.

Compensation is commensurate with relevant education and experience.
