About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing modular housing and manufacturing company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the development and scaling of its manufacturing platform.

The organization has experienced significant growth over the past several years and is entering a transformational phase focused on vertical integration, operational excellence, and long-term scalability. This executive will play a critical role in building the infrastructure, teams, and processes necessary to support continued expansion.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and help shape the future direction of the business.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operations executive to build and scale a manufacturing organization from the ground up.

The company currently utilizes outsourced manufacturing and is actively pursuing a strategy to bring production capabilities in-house. The COO will lead this initiative, overseeing manufacturing strategy, facility development, operational processes, supply chain management, and team building.

This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys building organizations, solving complex operational challenges, and creating scalable systems within a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s manufacturing and operational strategy
• Lead the transition from outsourced manufacturing to in-house production
• Evaluate and establish future manufacturing facilities
• Build and lead manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams
• Create scalable processes, systems, and performance metrics
• Drive operational efficiency, quality control, and production optimization
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives and strategic planning
• Develop organizational structure and operational infrastructure to support expansion
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 12\+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, industrial production, or supply chain management
• Proven experience scaling manufacturing operations and leading large teams
• Strong operational, financial, and strategic leadership capabilities
• Experience building systems, teams, and processes in high-growth environments
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in entrepreneurial and fast-paced organizations

Highly Preferred Experience

• Manufactured housing
• Modular construction
• Prefabricated building systems
• Off-site construction manufacturing

Experience from adjacent industries such as RV manufacturing, industrialized construction, or building products may also be considered.

Compensation \& Benefits

• Base Salary: $300,000–$400,000\+
