A nationally recognized engineering design firm focused on high-profile infrastructure is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead advanced mechanical system designs for exciting new construction and renovation projects. Our portfolio features aviation facilities, major stadiums, large-scale commercial developments, and other complex, high-impact environments where reliability, innovation, and precision drive every decision.

This role offers genuine technical leadership and the chance to serve as the Lead Engineer for the mechanical discipline on multi-discipline projects. You’ll produce drawing markups, specifications, and coordinate across teams to deliver accurate, high-quality, code-compliant designs that come together seamlessly—while helping manage project schedules and budgets. No data center experience required—we value strong MEP mechanical design fundamentals and a passion for tackling diverse, challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, constraints, and criteria for success.
  • Develop design solutions, weighing benefits and risks of various options, and guide clients toward the optimal path forward.
  • Lead the project team in developing comprehensive design documents (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc.)
  • Coordinate all design disciplines to deliver fully integrated, code-compliant, and constructible designs.
  • Manage client expectations and maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the design and construction process.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Serve as the Owner’s representative during construction (RFI responses, submittal reviews, site inspections, etc.)
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced designers and engineers, fostering team growth and technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or higher)
  • Professional Engineering License (in Texas or ability to obtain via NCEES Credentials)
  • 7\+ years of experience in the MEP industry
  • Proficiency in producing drawing markups and specifications
  • Proven experience coordinating design requirements with other disciplines
  • Strong leadership capabilities as Lead Engineer on assigned projects
