Global Director of NPD Engineering

As the Director of New Product Development Engineering, you will be instrumental in driving our new product development initiatives forward. You will oversee a talented team of engineers and cross-functional collaborators, ensuring that our products are developed with precision, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to navigate complex projects from inception to market launch.

Main duties:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff in the development of new products from concept to commercialization.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and roadmaps for new product development, aligning with company goals and market demands.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless execution and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices in all aspects of product development.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the engineering team.
• Act as a key liaison between engineering, executive leadership, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and insights into project progress and challenges.

Essential qualifications \& experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree (Masters or MBA) preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within new product development engineering, preferably in Fluid Handling.
• Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams through the complete product development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of design control processes, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and achieving results in a competitive market environment.
