SENIOR ANALYST, Hospital Finance, Revenue Cycle and Contracting

Permanent, Full-time REMOTE role

Ideal candidate MUST have hospital or healthcare analytics experience

We are looking for a Senior Analyst with deep experience in Finance, Revenue Cycle Analytics, Billing and Payer contracting. This position requires experience with advanced analytics (MUST be a SQL Expert) as well as Revenue Cycle and Hospital Finance subject matter expertise.

Education and Experience

  • BA or BS degree minimum, in a relevant field of study such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 7 years minimum, higher preferred, in analytics development at a health provider, health plan or healthcare analytics company
  • Preferred Experience: Working in health plan analytics, actuarial, financial reporting, or medical economics departments.

Skills Required:

  • Health care experience in Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Contracting strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets and database management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in EPIC billing systems, particularly Clarity and Caboodle.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, translate those to technical specifications, and identify the most efficient and accurate reporting solution.
  • Proactively analyze data; provide insights and navigate efficiently between levels of detail to transform data into an audience appropriate story that can be used to support business decisions.
  • Knowledge of hospital billing processes, revenue cycle, and related payer – provider contracting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis and make recommendations based on statistical inferences.
  • Experience with and an understanding of a wide variety of analytical or statistical methods.
  • Highly skilled at analyzing data, evaluating trends, and creating high-impact reporting used to formulate actionable strategies that support growth, scale, and cost reduction
  • Ability to learn multiple tools and socialize, engage, and adopt business stakeholders on these tools.
  • Ability to work on competing priorities without compromising the quality of work.
  • Demonstrated skills to support a team through standard processes or projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communications is a MUST.

Types of projects you will work on:

  • Revenue Cycle KPI Dashboard
  • Leveraging revenue cycle data for ad hoc report development (ex: reporting/analysis on specific claims and billing work queues, payor specific reimbursement, etc. in response to business needs)
  • Owner/subject matter expert in revenue cycle, finance, contracting and other related data
