Job Description

Chemical manufacturer is seeking a bachelor’s degreed chemist who has a minimum of 10 years of experience formulating HI\&I chemicals. This company offers great benefits and growth opportunities.

The HI\&I Chemist supports technical service and research \& development initiatives in a laboratory and office environment. This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to evaluate products, generate data, and provide solutions that enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties:

The Application Chemist supports technical service and research \& development initiatives in a laboratory and office environment. This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to evaluate products, generate data, and provide solutions that enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Collect, validate and maintain data for laboratory projects
  • Perform laboratory testing; interpret and document results accurately
  • Process and manage data using standard software tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, and internal database systems)
  • Prepare detailed laboratory reports summarizing methodologies, results, and conclusions
  • Perform routine lab tasks including equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, and ordering supplies
  • Conduct testing to support technical inquiries and product evaluations
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel and cross-functional teams to stay aligned on processes and best practices
  • Provide documentation and technical information to internal stakeholders as needed

  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant facility standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and share best practices across teams and departments

Salary

$115,000 - $125,000

Technical Qualifications:

  • Degree in a scientific or technical discipline (such as chemistry, biology, engineering, or a related field), or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • Several years of laboratory experience preferred; advanced degree candidates may be considered with relevant academic or internship / co-op experience
  • Professional certifications in laboratory practices, project coordination, regulatory compliance, quality systems, or related areas are a plus
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory instrumentation, techniques, and industry-relevant technologies
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and promoting safe practices across the team
