We are seeking a

Junior Procurement Specialist

to support our team by analyzing purchasing data, assisting with supplier management, monitoring procurement processes, and helping identify cost-saving opportunities. This

role is ideal for someone early in their supply chain or procurement career

who has strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The position will also support day-to-day purchasing activities, vendor communications, and reporting to help ensure efficient sourcing, accurate procurement records, and smooth coordination with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the procurement of goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends
  • Support vendor sourcing, onboarding, and performance tracking
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, supplier contracts, and maintain procurement records
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely procurement
  • Help evaluate supplier proposals and maintain vendor contracts and documentation
  • Generate procurement reports and provide insights to management
  • Maintain procurement databases and update supplier information.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams to support purchasing activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or administrative support in a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Familiarity with procurement or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to commute to Kearny, NJ as this is a fully in person position.
