HVAC Copper Pipefitter

KAR \& Larrabee, a well-established mechanical contractor with over 50 years in the industry, is hiring experienced Copper Pipefitters for a high-end senior living facility project in Tampa, FL.

This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale commercial project with a stable company offering consistent work and professional job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC piping systems including chilled water, hot water, refrigerant, and steam
• Measure, cut, bend, and assemble copper piping
• Perform brazing and soldering to join pipes
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Pressure test systems to ensure proper installation
• Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians and other trades on-site

Work Environment

• Commercial construction site
• Indoor and outdoor work
• Physically demanding role including lifting, climbing, and working at heights

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC pipefitting experience
• Strong experience with copper piping (brazing required)
• Ability to read and work from blueprints
• Experience on commercial or large residential projects
• Ability to lift 50\+ lbs and work in construction environments
• Reliable transportation and basic tools

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• EPA Certification
• Journeyman Pipefitter license
• Experience with chilled water or refrigerant systems

Salary Description $27-33/hr
