SF Partners are working with a fantastic global organisation who are looking to onboard an experienced Senior Management Accountant in their Frankfurt office. The Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the region/regions, delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insight to support decision-making.

Operating in a complex, multi-entity environment, the role requires a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who can independently resolve problems, support colleagues, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Key tasks:

Financial Reporting \& Control

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts for region/regions, including detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and review of key accounts.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with group accounting policies.

Business Partnering \& Financial Insight

  • Partner with regional commercial and operational teams to provide financial analysis and performance insights.
  • Challenge assumptions and highlight risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide meaningful financial support.
  • Seek opportunities to engage in constructive dialogue with stakeholders, strengthening financial understanding across the organisation.

Planning, Forecasting \& Performance Management

  • Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the region/regions.
  • Work with budget holders to ensure forecasts are robust, accurate, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Track performance against KPIs and support performance improvement initiatives.

Audit, Compliance \& Governance

  • Support external and internal audits, including international audit requirements across the region/regions.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory obligations and group finance policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and audit documentation where required.

Leadership \& Team Contribution

  • Act as a trusted resource for colleagues with less experience, sharing knowledge and supporting development within the finance team.
  • Take accountability for the quality and delivery of team outputs, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Set clear expectations regarding deliverables, deadlines, and standards when coordinating activities across the team.
  • Involve colleagues early in discussions where issues may impact them, encouraging collaboration and shared problem-solving.

Problem Solving \& Continuous Improvement

  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate complex financial and operational challenges, identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
  • Take ownership of resolving problems independently, applying sound judgement and escalating where appropriate.
  • Quickly adapt to new initiatives and organisational priorities, helping the business capitalise on opportunities or respond to changing requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, and control
