Job Description

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for defining and executing the company’s technology strategy to support scalable growth, product innovation, and operational excellence. This role leads engineering, infrastructure, and product development while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.

The CTO will drive modernization, improve platform stability, accelerate product delivery, and build a high-performing technical organization capable of supporting rapid growth across multiple verticals.

What You’ll Do

Technology Strategy \& Leadership

·      Define and execute the long-term technology vision aligned with company growth objectives.

·      Lead platform modernization, scalability, and performance improvements.

·      Drive cloud strategy, infrastructure optimization, and cost efficiency.

·      Establish best practices in architecture, security, and system reliability.

Product \& Innovation

·

Partner with product and business leaders to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions.

·      Accelerate development of new features including data insights, reporting, and multi-channel communications.

·      Embed data as a core asset to drive product differentiation and customer value.

·      Ensure rapid, high-quality product releases aligned with go-to-market needs.

Engineering Execution

·

Lead and scale engineering, DevOps, and QA teams.

·      Implement disciplined Agile/DevOps practices to improve speed and quality.

·      Reduce technical debt while maintaining delivery momentum.

·      Ensure high system uptime, performance, and event reliability—especially for high-stakes, live engagements.

Security \& Compliance

·

Maintain strong security posture aligned with SOC 2 and industry standards.

·      Implement secure SDLC practices and risk mitigation strategies.

·      Oversee data privacy, compliance, and system integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·

Align technology with sales, marketing, and operations to support revenue growth.

·      Support product launches with scalable, reliable infrastructure and tools.

·      Partner with leadership to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.

Technical Stack

·      Includes but is not limited to Ruby on Rails, Express.js (Node), Terraform, Asterisk, AWS

What You Bring

·

10\+ years of experience in engineering leadership, with 5\+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent).

·

Experience with real-time/telephony/communications platforms.

·      Familiarity with SMS/MMS/RCS or telecom APIs.

·      Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments.

·      Comfort operating with a small team (9 engineers).

·      Proven experience scaling platforms, teams, and infrastructure in a high-growth environment.

·      Strong expertise in cloud architecture (AWS), DevOps, and modern software development practices.

·      Experience balancing innovation with operational stability and execution.

·      Demonstrated ability to reduce technical debt while accelerating delivery.

·      Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, align, and drive accountability.

·      Experience with data-driven product development and analytics platforms preferred.
