NU Advisory Partners has been retained to lead the search for a Chief Information Officer for a scaled, multi-site services organization operating in a highly customized, transaction-heavy environment. This executive will lead the stabilization, governance, and modernization of the company’s enterprise technology landscape, bringing structure, security, and predictability to a complex system environment while enabling continued growth. The role requires a disciplined operator who can balance near-term reliability with longer-term platform evolution.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Technology Operations
- Own the stability, performance, and reliability of core enterprise systems supporting end-to-end operations
- Establish discipline across incident management, monitoring, access controls, and change management
- Reduce critical system failures and improve response and resolution times through clear ownership and processes
Platform Modernization \& Integration
- Lead a pragmatic transition from highly customized systems toward more standardized platforms and tools over time
- Define and execute system integration strategy across enterprise applications and third-party platforms
- Reduce manual workflows through automation and improved system connectivity
Security, Risk \& Controls
- Own cybersecurity, infrastructure hygiene, and access management across the organization
- Strengthen audit readiness, risk controls, and compliance processes
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including testing and reporting
Operating Cadence \& Financial Discipline
- Establish clear reporting cadence and performance metrics for executive leadership
- Drive transparency into technology spend, including run versus change and vendor costs
- Manage external vendors and partners with defined expectations, accountability, and performance standards
Team Leadership \& Organizational Build
- Assess and evolve the technology organization, addressing gaps across architecture, infrastructure, and delivery
- Reduce key-person dependency through improved documentation, ownership, and succession planning
- Build a service-oriented culture focused on accountability, responsiveness, and partnership with the business
Qualifications \& Experience
- Experience serving as a Chief Information Officer or equivalent senior technology leader with full ownership of enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, and delivery
- Background operating in complex, multi-site, operationally intensive environments where technology directly supports day-to-day execution
- Experience supporting highly customized application environments, with a demonstrated ability to transition toward more standardized platforms without disrupting operations
- Strong integration experience across enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, financial platforms, and third-party tools
- Experience operating in private capital-backed or similarly performance-driven environments with exposure to executive stakeholders and structured operating cadence
- Proven track record of stabilizing under-structured technology environments and introducing operating discipline, governance, and predictability
- Demonstrated ability to build controls that improve data quality, reduce operational leakage, and support consistent execution
- Strong operator mindset with disciplined execution and attention to detail
- Clear communicator with the ability to translate technical priorities into business impact for executive stakeholders
- Low-ego, hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead through ambiguity, organizational change, and rebuilding phases
- Location requirement: This is an in-person role based in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT), with candidates expected to work from the office
