Junior Mechanical Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanical designs and facilitating the transition of products into the manufacturing environment. The Mechanical Engineer will work with the manufacturing team in providing design input and assessments on new designs.

Responsibilities

• Designs mechanical assemblies \& weldments for new products or design improvements
• Creates mathematical engineering models to analyze performance
• Produces prototypes, tooling and tests performance
• Works with team to design and ensure manufacturability of new products
• Provides training for engineers and production personnel as needed for new processes or designs
• Develops and maintains bill of material, tool standards, process updates and documentation
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or 4 years of experience
• Excellent computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Excel)
• Ability to design and perform troubleshooting
