Senior Graphic Designer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to add to our amazingly talented creative team. This dynamic person has a sharp eye for design, a passion for product, and loves the ideation and product development process. Responsibilities
Leadership and Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with our account, product development, sourcing, and product management team on program strategy, creative direction, ideation and design, participate in our product development process from concept through manufacturing
- Collaborate with the team to create presentations that illustrate well-developed and strategic creative solutions that meet our customers’ merchant plans and match their aesthetic sensibility
- Identify white space opportunities and build on existing categories
- Articulate a vision, strategy, and POV in meetings with clients and communicate effectively to determine how we will help them achieve their goals
- Mentor junior designers
Creative Direction, Design and Development
- Work closely with the account and product development team on program strategy, creative direction, ideation, and design
- Define and execute on creative deliverables; product ideation, design direction, deck layout, mock-ups, specs, and sample refinements
- Develop mood boards, concept decks, and storytelling frameworks
- Select materials, finishes, trims, and packaging elements
- Stay on top of and share retail/consumer market trends in product, lifestyle, and culture with the team, and prepare trend presentations to share with buyers
- Assist in photo shoots and related styling as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- At least 6-10 years of relevant experience in design, branding, and product development
- Experience with consumer packaged goods is a plus
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
- Exceptional portfolio or work samples with the demonstrated graphic design and product experience,
- Excellent time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple product timelines and the ability to navigate time constraints
- Attention to detail in typography, composition, color, and layout
- Relationship driven qualities and a unique ability to personally connect with team members and key partners
- An enthusiastic self-starter who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
