We are currently looking for a

Mechanical Engineer

to join our team on a major desalination project located in

Marsa Matruh, Egypt

. This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly technical EPC environment, supporting the successful delivery of a critical infrastructure project that will contribute to long-term water security in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and implement the project construction work processes, procedures, manuals and systems ensuring the subcontractors are building to the latest revision of the drawings, specifications and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company statutory procedures, quality \& safety standards including any defined recording and reporting procedures.
  • Monitor and perform technical audits, in progress inspections, testing and surveillance activities to ensure that project quality requirements are being met.
  • Perform front-end activities supporting the development and implementation of material control system.
  • Work in cooperation with completions group and owner representatives, perform system identification and turnover of completed project facilities including preparation of necessary turnover documentation.
  • Perform constructability reviews and studies to optimize design.
  • Propose modifications to engineering design and interpret drawings, specifications and other technical documents for the subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with and support construction vendor representatives during their assignments on the jobsite.
  • Monitor generation of field materials requisitions (FMR), receipt of materials, and preparation of material summary reports.
  • Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirements, calculations, etc.
  • Able to provide purpose engineering solutions to construction issues.
  • Support in planning developing and supervising mechanical installations, operations and building equipment.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Experience:

  • 6–10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects will be considered a strong advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, piping networks, valves, rotating equipment, pressure systems, and electromechanical installations.
  • Experience reviewing engineering documentation, technical specifications, vendor technical offers, and equipment submittals.

Languages: Professional level of English (minimum B2).
