Customer Service Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay: up to Depending on Experience

J\&S Packaging, founded in 1982, functions as a foam fabricator, packaging designer and product supplier to various manufacturing industries. We are seeking a customer service specialist to process customer orders on-site at our office. This position provides support to the customer service department, sales department and customer order base.

Essential Functions

• Receive customer orders. Review specifications, pricing, and terms.
• Issue vendor purchase orders. Coordinate deliveries to production and shipping.
• Work directly with sales to meet customer needs. Assist with quotes and new product introduction. Participate in engineering changes.
• Maintain vendor managed inventory programs and restocking points.
• Assist logistics with shipping schedule . Coordinate directly with carriers as needed.
• Provide customer support. Confirm orders, issue invoices , answer general inquires.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use ERP software to process orders and generate documents.
• Type,file, maintain records.
• Email,answer phone calls, greet guests.
• Be available for additional training.
• Follow company best practices, polices, and procedures.

Background/Training/Skills/Requirements:

• Two years previous experience in customer service or related skills.
• Familiar with ERP software .
• General knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office .
• Possess strong time management and detail-oriented skills.
