Business Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Axia Capital Solutions (“Axia”) is a full-service transaction and portfolio management platform that leverages deep subject matter expertise and modern technology to assist clients with the acquisition, management, and disposition of mortgage and mortgage-related assets. We have significant growth objectives enabled by the backing and mandate of affiliates of Apollo Global Management and are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Analyst to support our Transaction Management team in connection with the acquisition, management, and disposition of residential mortgage loans for a trading and portfolio management business. This role is critical for the management of data throughout a variety of transaction workflows required to successfully execute trades. The ideal candidate thrives in a creative, fast‑moving environment and is comfortable managing data, analytics, reporting, and communications at scale.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Discovery and Documentation

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for technical teams both inside and outside of Axia.

Data Model and Dictionary Documentation

• Develop and maintain data models and data dictionaries to ensure consistency and clarity.
• Work with data architects and developers to validate data structures.

Integrations and Mappings

• Define and document system integration requirements.
• Create mapping documents for data exchange between systems.

Configurations

• Assist in configuring system settings based on business requirements.
• Validate configurations during testing phases.

Rule Writing

• Document business rules and logic for system functionality.
• Ensure rules align with compliance and operational standards.

Epic/Story Creation and Grooming

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to create and refine epics and user stories.
• Participate in backlog grooming sessions to prioritize work.

End-to-End Testing

• Develop test plans and test cases to validate solutions.
• Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing (UAT).

Training and Training Manual Creation

• Prepare training materials and user guides.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7\+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or related role within technology-driven environments
• Experience with mortgage technology platforms and processes
• Strong understanding of data modeling, system integrations, and business process design
• Proficiency in documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, MS Office Suite) Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, MongoDB) and cloud computing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), including data storage, processing, and scalable infrastructure solutions
• Familiarity with cloud-native data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration patterns across distributed systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with API integrations, data mapping, and data transformation techniques
• Ability to create clear, concise documentation and training materials for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Exposure to emerging AI and automation technologies is a plus

Pay Range:

$150,000 to $165,000

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
