Public Relations Manager- Capital Strategies

Overview

A leading, highly regarded professional services organization is hiring a Public Relations Manager to support a busy Capital Strategies practice. This role will help shape and execute external communications that elevate visibility for senior leaders and showcase high-impact work across areas including private credit, banking/finance, capital markets, hybrid capital, liability management, and restructuring.

Location: New York, NY

Salary

: 170 to 220k (BOE)

What You’ll Do

• Build and execute proactive media strategies aligned to business priorities
• Pitch story ideas and develop relationships with business, financial, legal, and trade reporters
• Secure opportunities for senior leaders including interviews, podcasts, speaking engagements, and market commentary
• Partner with internal stakeholders (including digital/social teams) to amplify media coverage, awards, and campaigns
• Draft and edit communications materials such as press releases, announcements, award submissions, talking points, and messaging
• Track market/news developments and identify timely PR angles; provide recommendations on positioning
• Manage information responsibly, including sensitive and confidential matters

What We’re Looking For

• Strong interest in capital markets and credit-related topics and trends
• Proven ability to secure meaningful earned media and cultivate long-term reporter relationships
• Confident, self-directed communicator who can manage multiple priorities and move projects forward independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in PR, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
• 7\+ years of PR/media relations or corporate communications experience (in-house and/or agency)
• Broader experience preferred (often 10\+ years total)
• Experience supporting financial services and/or complex, regulated industries
• Demonstrated success developing media strategies and placing stories in relevant outlets
