Graphic Designer I and Graphic Designer II

JOB SUMMARY

Graphic Designer positions
- Graphic Designer I
and
Graphic Designer II
, based in either
Detroit
or
Chicago
offices. As a Graphic Designer within the Business Development/Marketing department, you will play an integral and supporting role in the Design Center delivering high-quality design solutions that align with the firm’s branding and business goals. This role is ideal for a creative individual with strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams as a representative of the Design Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Execution
- Collaborate and create visually compelling assets for internal and external use, including presentations, reports, proposals, infographics, email templates, website, social media graphics, and event materials.
- Ensure all designs adhere to the firm’s branding guidelines and maintain consistency across all platforms.
- Support the development of marketing campaigns by creating engaging visuals tailored to the target audience.
Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, communications, and business development teams to understand design requirements and deliver on project objectives.
- Collaborate with members of the Design Center and external stakeholders to iterate on concepts and refine deliverables.
Production Support
- Prepare and format files for both digital and print production.
- Maintain an organized library of design assets and templates for easy accessibility.
- Participate in the triage of design requests, overseeing the job files administration.
Brand Stewardship
- Help maintain and evolve the firm’s visual identity by contributing fresh ideas and suggesting design innovations.
- Assist in quality assurance to ensure all materials align with brand standards.
Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Promptly respond to feedback and implement changes as needed.
- Work with the team to help develop workflows, processes, and systems to manage the design pipeline.
- Collaborate with the team on the firm’s Digital Asset Management tool (DAM), ensuring proper organization and usage of assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent.
- For Graphic Designer I
, a minimum 2-3 years of professional design experience is required. Experience by internships or freelance work may be considered.
- For Graphic Designer II
, a minimum of 5 years of professional design experience is required. Experience by internships or freelance work may be considered.
- Familiarity with working in a corporate or professional services environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe Express.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for designing corporate documents.
- Familiarity with web design tools and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus.
- Proficiency with PremierPro.
- Digital Asset Management acumen.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, error-free work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability to feedback and a willingness to learn and grow.

Pay Range and Compensation Package
Honigman provides a generous total compensation package, which includes comprehensive health and well-being benefits, as well as 401k and profit sharing. The anticipated annual pay rang
e for Graphic Designer I
is $60,000 - $72,000 (exempt). The anticipated annual pay range for
Graphic Designer II
is $70,000 - $80,000 (exempt). The actual offered pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considera
tions.
