Logistics Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end ocean freight (FCL/LCL) and domestic/international trucking (drayage, FTL, LTL) operations.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and secure capacity with ocean liners and trucking partners.
• Monitor and improve operational KPIs: on-time delivery (OTD), transit time, cost per mile (CPM), and equipment utilization.
• Ensure compliance with US Customs (ISF/AMS), FMCSA/DOT regulations, and cross-border requirements (US-Mexico/Canada).
• Lead and mentor operations coordinators and logistics specialists.
• Control operational budgets, analyze P\&L, and drive cost-saving initiatives (route optimization, consolidation, mode shifting).
• Handle cargo claims, exceptions, and customer escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Minimum

5 years

of logistics operations experience, with at least

3 years

in a managerial role.

• Proven experience in both

ocean freight

and

trucking

operations.

• Familiarity with

TMS/WMS

systems (e.g., Cargowise, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI).
• Knowledge of US Customs brokerage and incoterms.
• Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Bilingual (Chinese and English)
• Working experience in 3PL industry
