About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Senior Okta Engineers to support a high-profile federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) modernization initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on integration of enterprise applications into a centralized Okta environment, enabling secure access across mission-critical systems while supporting Department of the Air Force Zero Trust objectives.

This position is ideal for candidates with deep expertise in identity and access management, authentication technologies, and application integration who thrive in fast-paced federal environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Okta identity and access management solutions.
• Integrate enterprise applications using Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity federation technologies.
• Implement and support SAML, OAuth 2\.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and related authentication protocols.
• Collaborate with application owners to onboard legacy and modern applications into the enterprise ICAM platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve authentication, authorization, and identity synchronization issues.
• Configure and maintain access policies to ensure secure and compliant user access.
• Support automated deployments and identity management processes through CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot API integrations and application connectivity issues.
• Execute established migration and enablement pathways for legacy applications.
• Ensure all integrated systems comply with Department of the Air Force Zero Trust and phishing-resistant authentication requirements.
• Participate in testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Document configurations, procedures, and integration processes.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Okta Certified Administrator certification.
• 8\+ years of experience supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM) environments.
• 8\+ years of experience supporting federal government customers.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Okta administration, configuration, and application integration.
• Strong experience implementing SSO, MFA, and identity federation solutions.
• Experience with SAML, OAuth 2\.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and modern authentication frameworks.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication, authorization, and identity synchronization issues.
• Familiarity with API integrations and automated deployment pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles and identity-centric security models.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of the Air Force programs.
• Experience integrating applications within NIPRNet or other federal enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of phishing-resistant authentication technologies and federal cybersecurity mandates.
• Experience working within Agile and DevSecOps environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise directory services, identity governance, and cloud-based authentication platforms.
