Job Description
Job Responsibilities
:
- Negotiate contracts/pricing
- Purchase items/materials needed to support production
- Process order reqs, including POs
- Adhere to all compliance and ISO/GMP standards
- Identify, qualify \& partner with suppliers, including int. suppliers
- Perform cost reduction analysis
- Address/resolve receiving/inspection/accounting issues with suppliers/clients
- Develop improved procurement/purchasing strategies/programs
- Review \& monitor MRO
- Implement policies \& procedures to track \& report key metrics – support cost reduction \& increased productivity
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Research alternative sources for goods \& materials
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies \& other suppliers
- Act as dept. POC
- Act as culture champion for the organization
- Other duties as needed
Job Requirements
:
- 7\+ years of relevant industry experience (Biopharma/Biotech experience highly preferred) – 2\+ years international procurement/purchasing experience
- Bilingual (Spanish) required
- CPIM, CSCP or CPM Cert. preferred
- Excellent verbal \& written communication skills
- Excellent strategic thinking
- Strong team leadership skills
